Terms of use

Effective from 2026

By sending a request you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy.

Who it is for

Registered medical practitioners practising in India, seeking advice about patients under their own care. IDline does not consult with patients or families.

What the service is

Doctor-to-doctor advice. The advice is an opinion for you to consider, based only on the information you send. The specialist does not examine the patient, it is not a prescription, and no doctor-patient relationship is created with IDline. Hospital program support is agreed separately in writing.

Your responsibilities

Not for emergencies

Any acute instability, for example shock, respiratory distress, seizures or altered sensorium, needs immediate in-person care and stabilisation. Do not delay urgent treatment while waiting for our reply.

Response times and fees

We aim to reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm IST. This is a target, not a guarantee. One follow-up on the same query is available within 7 days. Video calls are not recorded. The service is currently complimentary, and we will give notice on this website before any fee is introduced.

Requests we may decline

Those outside pediatric infectious diseases, with insufficient information or patient identifiers, needing urgent in-person care, or where registration cannot be confirmed.

Website and blog

Content belongs to IDline. It is educational reading for doctors and is not advice for any individual patient.

Limits of our responsibility

We advise with reasonable professional care. We are not responsible for outcomes arising from inaccurate or incomplete information, a change in the patient's condition, or decisions of the treating team. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss.
